This one has really resonated with me lately, as I am coming to the end of a very good time period in my life. As sad as this end is, however, mixed in with my feelings of wistful reminiscence are an undeniable excitement about the future possibilities that lay before me.
…I say this to say that – in both our personal and professional lives – we are often faced with seemingly impossible choices, as well as setbacks that (in the moment) can feel insurmountable.
This is an illusion.
We are the sum of our experiences, and each of our experiences – if we let them – can take us a little closer to the person we want to become.
…So as we get started this week, let’s stay open-minded and open eyed. And as HR Managers, let’s look to reengage our disengaged talent by making them aware of the opportunities before them. It is seldom as bad as it seems, and sometimes one just needs a change of perspective.
