Early in my career I had an awful habit of trying to do many, many things at once: More often than not this eventually lead to me stretching myself too thin 1. Starting out I felt like a failure if I wasn’t juggling a lot of balls in their air. It took learning the hard way that over-promising and under-delivering is about the worst thing you can do professionally before I began to narrow my focus.to be effective at everything I was working on. 1
