A lot of people e-mail me asking how they can get more callbacks for interviews. I encourage them to do many things; using your existing network is the best tool here, followed by leveraging social media if your network can’t help.
…With that said, many mid cap+ companies use an applicant tracking system (ATS) of some sort. Ergo, while using your network and back channels to ensure your resume gets looked at by a real person is great, these efforts should be supplemented with an ATS friendly resume.
